Since there has been little, if any, local news coverage of the upcoming June 23 Republican primary for Virginia’s U.S. Senate race I am writing to prod you into informing your readers. Absentee voting is already underway, so coverage of this topic is important.
Three great GOP candidates are vying for the Republican nomination to face off with Democrat Sen. Mark Warner in November. The candidates are: Alissa Baldwin, Daniel Gade, and Thomas Speciale. All three candidates and their campaigns have visited with Alexandria’s Republican voters in recent months at various events such as the local GOP annual picnic, Republican party meetings, and Alexandria’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Alexandria has been a priority for them as they cross-crossed the Commonwealth to get their messages out.
As we all try to zoom through the coronavirus to a better place, please remember there is other news out there that is fit to print.
