Veteran Army Staff Sgt. Jon Meadows suffered a brain injury during his tour in Afghanistan in 2013. Upon returning home to the U.S., Meadows found a creative outlet in the visual arts. His first work was mostly sculptural, but Meadows now works in other media as well. His recent exhibit, “A Soldier’s Voice,” at The Art League Gallery, 105 N Union St., Studio 12, originally intended to run until July 24, has been extended to July 27. Gallery hours Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 12-6 p.m. Visit www.theartleague.com for more.
