Alexandria American Legion Post 24 recently honored two public safety employees – a deputy sheriff and a firefighter – for their exceptional service to the City of Alexandria. During an evening ceremony on March 8, Post Commander Doug Gurka presented Deputy Deon Eaddy with its 2016 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award and Battalion Chief Jack Hoffman with its 2016 Firefighter of the Year Award.
