The Child & Family Network Centers hosted its 12th Annual Multicultural Celebration in the parking lot at the Birchmere on May 26. Showcasing the preschool and community diversity, families were treated to music, crafts, petting zoo, and games — made possible in part by local sponsors including United Bank. The event highlight was the potluck feast, featuring dishes from 21 countries. The Child & Family Network Centers offers free preschool and family services to three- and four-year olds and their families who are living at or below 185 percent of the poverty line throughout Alexandria.See www.cfnc-online.org.
