Alexandria Brief: Shooting Victim Hospitalized

— The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1200 block of North Quaker Lane on Friday, July 24. At approximately 9:52 p.m., officers responded to an apartment complex for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 17-year-old male city resident, suffering from a wound to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s injury was identified as a non-life-threatening single gunshot wound at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
